Equine Assisted Mental Health Services
Healing Through Horses offers the following therapy services

Upon contacting Healing Through Horses, you will be oriented to our services and
learn about the benefits of Equine Assisted Mental Health. We will then schedule your
first session. Upon arrival, you we will be introduced to the horses and offered a tour of the
program area. After the tour, we will conduct an initial assessment, determine what your
specific needs and goals are and develop your treatment plan. Collaboration with other
providers is essential for coordination of treatment interventions and goals.
Adjustments in duration, focus and modality will be made as needed.
Individual ~ Ideal for anyone who is currently experiencing emotional challenges in their personal, school, work
or family relationships. Gain insight and new skills to increase assertiveness, setting and keeping
personal boundaries, decrease isolation, depression and anxiety.
Couples ~ Will learn how to increase their communication skills, increase intimacy and harmony in their relationship,
develop new ways to solve problems and interact so you can realize your dreams as a couple.
Families ~ Who have a child or teenager who is acting out. You will learn how to identify what behaviors you would like
to eliminate, change communication and power struggles into effective tools to enhance your home life.
Groups ~ Who share a common challenge will learn how to identify what they want to change as individuals and how
they can influence change in others. EAMH is ideal for adolescents involved in the legal system.
Community Education Workshops
Healing Through Horses offers half-day and full-day workshops with the focus on
how Equine Assisted Mental Health can assist professionals as they work with their
clients on a daily basis. We offer an opportunity for staff members to experience and
explore alternatives to traditional modalities of treatment. We can help treatment
providers "step out of the box", challenge old beliefs and take new risks. Consider
this an opportunity to invest in your client's mental health and increase sustainable
change in your professional development.
